Help!which Alternator

Helping my pal with his 2.0 turbo conversion,his apprentice threw out his 406 turbo alternator :) hes using the 406 bottom pulley,the problem we have is there are supposedly 4 different types of 406 alternator which supposedly all mount differently(difference in ampage as well),can anybody help ive tried a search but cannot seem to find the info we need,we no we'll have to modify it to fit,cheers

Don't think this should be in this section. 406s have XU engines don't they?

 

I suspect you could just get any alternator from a 306 or 406 from a scrappies. Cars only require the higher output jobs (70-100ah rating) for all of the gadgets they have these days like aircon and leccy bits. 45-55ah should be plenty for most 205s I would say.
