i had a quick look to see if this has been posted before but cant see anything, so, if i'm to fit 309 arms and use 205 shafts will it work? i think i've heard that it do's but they can "pop" out? can someone confirm. cheers

Seems to be a tolerance issue - works fine for some people, others have problems with the shafts popping out on full lock/extension.

This has been asked so many times before, there must be something coming up in the search. Personally i would use 309 shafts aswell. 309 wishbones are 9mm longer then 205 ones, or at least the ones I measured were.

I'm running 205 shafts with 309 bones no problems whatsoever.

10mm difference, in both arms and shafts IIRC, unsure how much further out the strut tops are.

I tried it, and one popped out while on full lock on a slope. Ruined a good shaft. Risk it if you want, luckily I was at home when it happened

I've done about 8,000 miles with 205 shafts and 309 bones and they're still going good.

Anthony sums it up perfectly above.

Try it if you want, but be aware that you may have a shaft pop out, you may not.

my 205 shafts are practically new or I would get 309 shafts too.
