Rear Torsion Bars

I really ought to close this thread off as it's gone as far as is reasonable now.

Just one final parting shot - the non OE torsion bars that people buy, do the manufacturers perform different processes on the Left and Right bars, and are they thus marked as L and R (or peut etre G and D !). If not why do PUG go to all that trouble. I've mentioned the marks (nicks) on each of the bars (of my refurb beam) before. When I take the old one off next week I'll check them for any similar ID marks as invariably the paint rings have long gone.
