V6 Tdc Mark

Recommended Posts

StuF215

Im trying to put a TDC mark on the bottom pulley to aid tuning with MS as there are no marks on the flywheel.

Does anyone know if the timing pin which fits through the lower cambelt pulley on the v6 marks piston 1 @ TDC??

I cant find this info on the net. And Haynes are no help as they dont cover this engine.

The engine starts now so before I getting busy attempting to tune I want to confirm I have TDC. I can then use a timing light.

Many thanks

Stu

typically psa engines are locked with the pistons mid-way through the stroke, they use the same 60-2 flywheel tim9ng teeth pattern so i'd guess the missing tooth is at the same angle too, what this angle is I dont remember but there's a few on here that are setting up aftermarket management that could give you a figure to try.

Ar damn I marked it anyway, if the xu have the same tooth pattern that could be a bonus. I have a spare be box and maybe a flywheel I could check tdc on, so will try that.

I have set tdc to tooth 15 if I remember correctly
