Dizzy Advance Diaphram

Recommended Posts

EdCherry

1.6 Ph1 GTi.

Well I sucked on the vaccum pipe and nothing, went into the garage to find a spare dizzy that came with a later spare engine and there was resistance. The ends were different on the dizzy cap and the leads on the car are pretty new so I just swapped over the diaphragms.

I noticed that on the arm of the diaphragm they had numbers the new one was different ending in 171 is this just a age thing, im assuming there isnt actually much difference between dizzy's here.

Can get the number of the diaphragm I took off if it helps identify if there are differences.

EDIT: s*it spelling.

there are different part numbers, but apart from the different advance figures I wouldn't be able to tell you what the difference is !

I've just fitted a new one and it had the same number on the lever as the old one. I think the difference in them is in the amount of pressure needed to make them move. I would just fit it, it's got to be better than a broken one.
