New Brakes

The time has come to get new discs and pads for the front of my 205 Gti,I have Gti6 calipers with std setup at the mo but the discs have reached the end of their life was debating Tarox discs with Mintex DS1200 pads ?

which tarox? don't bother with the g88, they're really not worth the money

I was using EBC turbo groove discs and green pads on my GTI6 setup and recently binned these and got black diamond grooved discs

and mintex 1144 pads and difference is hell of alot. Probably the pads mostly but i would recommend them for road use anyway

Brembo discs (smooth) and some DS2500 pads although I'd say they're a touch big myself.

No1144's for me as I am hard on the brakes and the 44's fade--1155's for me and plain discs.

Duct air to them, and then you can get away with the cheaper pad compound.

Miles can do you the pads, and id just got with GSF or similar for the discs.

Well I did try that but I found the roads around here a little short of length to make any significant difference, plus I am running princess 4 pots so all is not fantastic. 1155's with my set up and very heavy right foot/narrow lanes and short straights oop North make for a nice smell in this area!
