Fitting 8v Tin Sump With Xu10rs Oil Pump

Recommended Posts

SPGTi

I am using the XU10RS oil pump, sprocket (26) and chain. I want to run the 8v tin sump with spacer plate but when I offer up the sump the pickup catches. I have not tried with the gasket in place but I don't think it will solve the problem.

Any ideas ? I was going to slightly modify the sump with a mallet.

i think you need to be real careful not to damage the sump and then it'll leak. my setup doesn't surge at all, at least not 'fast road', even when the oil level is on min. I'll try and get around tomorrow or friday to see you,

The RS oilpump has an different metal "flap" on the oilpump,

i found this out because i was changing an r block for an rs block an i had to change that flap otherwise the RS wouldn't fit.

I think you have to change this or modify it to fit your sump
