Luggage/rally Net

Recommended Posts

I've been recently thinking of stripping the 205's interior, well apart from the front seats and dashboard area.

But I do the fortnightly food shop in the car, so having a cordened off boot is useful. So I'm thinking if I do strip it out, is there like an elastic type net I could use as a hammock or guard for food shopping, to stop bags flying around the interior of the car?

I've seen similar things in track/rally cars where the rear seats are missing but theres like an elastic net for helmets, water etc etc.

Anyone done this or can offer advice? The car won't have a cage, so was thinking of using the rear seatbelt mounts and something else.

Thanks in advance for any advice - even if it's to take the pish :lol:

Yes rally design sell these. I use it for helmets, but have used it to hold the shopping before.

I'm just unsure of where I could attach it too. Would need to hold a full 2 weeks shop, about 10-12 carrier bags so no massive.

Could use cardboard boxes but would prefer a net as it's multi functional.

I use one of these:

Fits perfectly between the rear arches of a 205 and fits under a seat when its not in use.

I like that, wonder if one would be enough for 10-12 Asda bags though :D;)

Get two then? I'm sure I paid much less than the £12.99 it says on that site.

Definitely an option, as they fold away so well. Wonder If I can find something like that at Argos, Instore etc?

Like the look of the rally style nets still, but the above is so practicle! :D
