Quiet Aftermarker Exhausts

i am starting to get sick of my exhause note every time i go past a cop at any more than 10mph they think i`m doing about 100mph due to the noise so i would like to get a quiet but still nice looking exhaust tailpipe what can you suggest

Jetex.

 

Even on a tuned engine is not too loud.

 

Honestly is no louder than std, but with a nicer sporty tone.

as i`m only after changing my backbox it would have to be a jetex/laser backbox which are only done in 100mm tailpipes are these quieter than a 3" magnex backbox??

I found the magnex 3" box to be no louder than std on mine, but i guess the bore on the rallye and gti could be different? Probably bigger on the GTI.....

 

anyone know the GTI size? Rallye/XS is around 50mm

I have the Jetex too (3rd Jetex system!!!) and it is quiet. The idle is a bit splattery and below 2000rpm there is a slight boom (but nothing like any other performance system). Strangely when I put a bigger tailpipe on it seems to idle smoother and be less boomy below 2000rpm but noisier higher up where the standard Jetex tailpipe is quiet.

 

The only problem I have with the aluminised Jetex system is the tailpipe is too small for my liking, it's about 2.5".
