Gearbox Syncro Replacement

Hi my 1.6 gearbox has been crunching going into 2nd and third occasionally is this a feasable home repair job or would i have to strip down the box and get someone to overhaul the syncro units?

Synchro replacement is definitely box out and stripped, the BE boxes generally last well, I've never needed to do anything to synchros on the ones I've had, if I were you I'd look out for a good s/h box as this will be far cheaper than repairing yours.
