Confused About Cams? I Am

I have just bought my self a bx 16v motor to put in my 205, not sure on the condition of the engine so a rebuild is in order never done this before so gonna be my first project which im looking forward to, im looking at running the motor on 1.6 box with twin 45 webers and getting cams followers pulleys and springs ect. thing im worried about is loosing lower down power, i have read that fitting some cams will give you bhp gains at high revs but a loss at low, as im looking to get a bhp increase across the revrange. i was told by a mate that the newman cams for this motor where a good choice http://www.newman-cams.com/pdf/peugeot.pdf the only other one recomended to me was kent but as im not clued up on the cams and quite confused by them and there differences any help would be grate.

I just fitted new fast road inlet cam from catcam via QEP and new hydraulic tappets as QEP was cheapest and decent make.Mines running

twin 45's and havent noticed any loss low down.I have still got that kick when you get higher up rev range

did you go for the standar ecu or re-mapped ecu cams?

erm yeah haha i am not sure really.I phoned them and said my engine spec and was running twin webers and he recommended a suitable stage 1 inlet.In the future

i can fit this inlet to the exhaust and get a stage 2 inlet if i want.
