Stub Axle Quick Question

Hi - I am sure this will be covered in various other posts but as a quick question, if i want to purchase a second hand but straight stub axel for drivers side rear for a 1.9gti do i have to get one from same car or would any 205 be ok?

has to be for a 1.9, they are longer than drum models.
