or do you`s think i should take it to a machine shop and get it done perfectly on a lathe thanks for any help

p.s ive been in the shead with a file for about 7 hours trying to get the edges all perfectly flat

What do you mean the edges aren't straight?

Of course these things matter, but to what extent for a road going engine it doesn't really matter. Eat your heart out and have a go whats the worst that can happen.

Oh right, are you using bike bodies then? Try and get a few more details into your original post.

And you want to keep your silicon joiners as short as possible as they are not the ideal solution.

Lots of people use them, but it can be difficult to get a good seal and if the joiners are too long, the hose actually billows and pulses with the airflow which is inefficient.

I'm entitled to say this after trying a homemade manifold, completely from scratch. This Mi manifold approach will certainly work but I'm just giving you some top tips.

Good luck, and please post some pictures. You know what they say about pictures.

Does it by any chance look something like this?

Either use short hoses so that the bodies meet the inlet tracts or use hose with metal coil inserts so they don\'t pulse. That kind of hose is used in hydraulics, around 15 quid a meter here.

the bike bodies hoses usually contain a step so the internal diameter remains constant.

yes they are bike bodies gsxr 750 ones and it does look a little like the manifold on the link but mine is a bit longer well ill get some pics up when im happy with it. ive been given ago of a bandsaw at my mates machine shop so ill chop and he can tidy them up for me hopefully .

p.s thanks for the info about the hose was actually going to do them really long so it looked a little neater but now ill keep them short
