Can Petrol Rubber Hose Withstand

Recommended Posts

matty_gti

Hi,

I’m about to replace a bit of rubber hose that goes from the brake reservoir to the master cylinder on my motorbike  ...and was wondering if normal petrol injection hose would be suitable?, would it be ok with brake fluid?.

Cheers.

I wouldn't be 100% sure unless you've got the details from the hose and can check with the manufacturer? From one biker to another..... I would get the specific hose... brakes are the last thing you want to lose!!

No it more than likely wont.

You can get the reservoir to cylinder line for about £1.80 from a brembo stockists.

the main hose on the brake fluid machine at my work has been replaced with fuel line and it has worked ok for the past few years but i'd get the proper pipe as wouldn't want to be messing about with brakes. Plus it would always be at the back of your mind (well mine anyway) that it's not the proper piece

I sold my NC30 last year, I want another :)

Part of the Motor Group I work for has a LARGE honda bikes dealership, I can get a price on the part if you want?
