Engine Build Questions

Recommended Posts

swordfish210

Hi all, i'm currently rebuilding a 1360cc TU engine; http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?showtopic=107936 , and i've a few questions. First off i'm replacing the cam for a Piper one and i was wondering where the best place to get new followers for it would be or can i get my old one ground in.

Also i'm using my old liners in a new block so i'll more than likey need to space them up. Does anyone know where can i get some shims for the liners.

I'll probably think of a few more things in the near future but thats all for now. Many thanks. Mark

Assuming your on about the rockers... 37.93 GBP from Pug.

Surely Zebedee's could source both items for you?

why dont you convert over to a larger port head (such as tu3j or tu5) before you invest too much money in the tu3s head.

because my TU3-S head has allready been gas-flowed and i have a decent manofold for my bike carbs already on it.

I think you need to install the liners in your new block, and if protrusion is insufficient you get the block decked and the liners matched up if required :)
