Recommended Posts

Hi. My cousin had a problem with his 205 Mi16:( He made a conversion to mi16 ...using mi16 wiring loom. The car was in very bad condition. There were a lot of problems. We changed a TPS, coil, hall sensor, AFM...and many other things... But now ....When we started the engin ..idle is runing very good (after the AFM change..), but when we push the thorttle pedal engine go down to stop. There is no posiibilitu to take the revs higher then iddle....Anybody know what´s the problem ?

Thank you...

Have you plugged in the AFM? I know from previous experience if you forget to plug it in this is what happens, the car will idle but nothing more.

If it is plugged in, test continuity of the wiring from AFM back to ECU.

Check the hose between the AFM and the throttle body, if it is split/leaking it can cause the problem you have.

just an air leak in general could cause this. it could also the the CTS, this has a little blue plug on the right of the engine bay as you look at it. so check that it has this plug is plugged in and then try replacing the CTS

In my experience no regarding the coolant temp sensor on an Mi16. The engine will still start and run with it unplugged, the Motronic management actually switches the management light on the dash on as it detects it isn't there.
