it's quite feasible with a Rotrex on a standard compression engine, to run over 250bhp

Its also very possible with an M45 on a standard compression engine to run over 250bhp. Ask AllanAllen.

In honesty, the power curve of each would be totally different. It's very difficult to compare. just giving a peak number doesn't tell the story. I'm a big fan of the Rotrex supercharger

All you gave was a peak number though? Whats the difference in the power curve between a Rotrex and an Eaton on an MI16 then?

you've totally misread the tone of my post, i was simply stating they're dramatically different in behaviour. That just means the suitability of application is different

an Eaton will give you a lot of torque early on, the Rotrex will be smoother in it's delivery with a lower peak torque figure, but the boost wont disappear up the revs. For track the Rotrex is the better charger, but sure the Eaton will make you a quick car.

A vid of a Rotrex equipt clio I contributed to putting together :(

Oh right, thought you had direct experience with fitting both.

Tuned an maintained an Eaton equiped Viper for some time. Made phenominal torque!!!! but the owner wasn't happy with the power. It was something like 530bhp and 650 lb/ft. It's currently being converted to twin Rotrex C38 chargers (same setup as the koenigsegg cxx) with a target of 1000bhp. Sadly I'm not involved with that project anymore

Sorry the post you have quoted was a bit vague and ive edited it to clarify what im getting at. I was more referring to two reasonably comparable 16v lumps with either charger.
