Quick Q On Engine Mounts

are the tu gearbox and top engine mounts the same as the xu? and ifso can they both be changed with the engine in the car??

Yes, the only mount that is different is the lower engine mount. You dont need to take the engine and box out tochange them but it will make it a damn site easier.

For the gearbox one, you just support the engine with a jack on that side, take the battery out and unbolt the two nuts holding the mount to the battery tray and the nut holding the gearbox to the mount.

 

For the top mount, just support the other side of the engine with the jack, take the top engine mount (metal arm) off and you should be able to get at the rubber mount change it, not a hard job mate.

they have different nummbers on peugeots service box...

the engine mount is deffo the same, ive just put a GTI one on, the gearbox one as aswell im sure
