Can Some One Get Me Pictures Of....

Recommended Posts

could someone please get me a picture of the brown multiplug which comes off the top of the coil on their mi16. i want to see the wire colours etc and i think that this will be the easyest way.

on another note. theres a big white multiplug with 8 connections to it one of which is the starter, where does this go to on the 205 wiring loom

Here's a wiring diagram, the wiring is done by wire numbers so colours are always a bit pick-n-mix on different cars.

If you look at the coil with the HT terminal at the top then terminal 1 is on the right of the brown plug (it is numbered on the plug itself if you have a look)

There isn't usually any white multi plug like you mention but it could be the same as the usual brown multiplug which has been replaced with a new one.

Although the engine bay end only has seven wires in & plugs into the brown plug which runs in with the original engine loom but is easily seperated.

This topic might be some help though.

Graham.

Timmy

I've just looked up a photo of my loom after I'd just built it, and I can just about see which wire is which by zooming in.

With the grooved part of the plug facing down and looking from above, from left to right it is:

Yellow

Purple

Blue (thicker wire)

Turquoise (shielded cable for Tacho)

I used the same colours as in the original loom.

Yes, one has to be careful as there is a very subtle difference between the two. Turquoise is slightly gayer hue :P (<--that's the 'rimming' smiley :D )

the car STILL is not sparking :s

the wiring is as above in AndyJ's post.

Apart from, the tacho, im assuming this isnt needed to run the car? and the capacitor, should i put this strait to earth? apparently it just gets rid of interference caused which may effect the radio signal?

right after my exitement it appears its not running right. i think it may be something to do with the live wire which on the diagram simply says t15. i just conected it to live thinking its probably just a switched live but on second thoughts it probably isn't. there are 2 relays in the engine bay a black and a brown one, the brown clicks once when ignition key is turned to stage two, but the black one just click madly. on/off etc. and there is sometimes a weird shorting noise but i dont know where its from, it may just be a spark plug on continuously?
