206 Hdi Warning Bleeper!

Recommended Posts

Ricardo

Hi

My mates 206 1.4 HDi 2002 has audible warning bleep when the keys are in the ignition (off) and the door is opened. That's fine but the same audible bleeper sounds when he hits 76mph.

Is this normal? :D He has checked manual and found nothing in it.

Could it be an electrical fault or can it be turned off some how?

Cheers for any help.

Ric

tell him to slow down :D

that's normal in the first instance, the second could be a speed limit warnign which can be set to whatever speed you like, I think the c2 has something similar.

If its anything like my old dears Picasso, you've got the option to program in an 'over speed' warning via the dash, i'd put money on it being that. :D

If its anything like the one on the van Peugeot loaned us for the Eurotrip you can set it to your choice of speed or turn it off through the toggle button on the end of the wiper stalk.

I'm disgusted with your 'friend' - driving at that speed is illegal and should be saved for the track.

Think of the children!!

Yes I know I told him not to let his kids ride on the roof! But it was on a uncrowded beach  below the high tide mark :P
