Is A 1.6 And 1.9 Same Loom?

Hi guys just a quick question....ia a 1.6 wiring loom the same as a 1.9?

 

As in could i drop a 1.9 engine into a 1.6 ....use the same loom...and just change the ecu???/ is that correct??

Same loom for 1.6 and 1.9 models, they only vary between model years.

 

You need to change the ECU, AFM, and injectors ideally - either change them all, or none - don't mix and match 1.6 and 1.9 bits, otherwise it will likely mis-fuel.

there are 3 different ecu-looms in the 205!

 

1.6/1.9 jetronic without cat

1.9 jetronic with cat

1.9 motronic with cat

 

you can run every engine with every loom, but in my oppinion the ideal loom is the motronic one, because thats the only ecu that controls fueling AND ignition, the other ones have hall ignition.
