Steering

after finally getting my 205 on the road after 18 months :D i am looking at getting my tracking done.

the only problem is when i last had the tracking done i had about an 8th more lock one way than the other, and have never been happy. so this time i have centered the steering wheel to even locks. but have been wondering if that is correct as i remembered that when changing the track rods that the stops on the ends, one side was about twice as wide as the other?

so could anyone confirm that either the lock to each side should be the same, or maybe just so that the track rod to rod end lengths should be equal on both sides?

sorry for rambling on but that was the shortest i could describe it in.

Both really - should be the same number of turns center to stop either way, and should have roughly the same amount of thread showing on both TRE's.

ok thanks.

i think i had about 5 and 7 threads on my track rod when i changed them. but thought 1 thread each way wouldnt move the steering wheel 45 degrees. ill get it tracked and find out what its like.
