Is it just the 2 bolts on the back of the ecu to release it?

a 205 ecu can never be locked :-)

an ecu is normally locked when the engine is not running, locking/unlocking is done by a blackbox (transponder) or a keypad when the engine is stopped or the code/transponder is correct..

you have to start the engine, disconnect the pinpad and then stop the engine.

when the pinpad is disconnected, the ecu is not locked anymore!

but beware of plugging in another pinpad in another car, the ecu will then be locked again!

an unlocked ecu should NEVER see a pinpad again :P
