Mi16 Crank Information

Right i need a mi crank asap as mine is bent!! i thought i saw on here someone talking about diesel cranks in mi's and 1.9 8v's? can someone tell me if i can use these, what specific diesel crank if so and what i will gain/lose by using a different crank!! also, if i need to do any other mods i.e different rods, pistons etc!!

I've spent quite a bit of money on this now so i'm tryin to go the most cost effective way!! so ideally i'd like to use my rods pistons etc!!! cheers all

Before someone else says it, have you tried a search? If you can track anything down I can collect from pugfest if needed.

 

Try Welshpug, he has hopefully got me a flywheel so maybe he has its old crank???????

Stick an 8v in, you won't be able to tell the difference unless you sit at 7k plus all the time. Fits straight in with no mods.

I did offer you that 8 valve crank the other day mate, will cost you nothing and you won't even have to go through a skip to get it.

 

One catch, possibly chucking out all the scrap on Sunday, and that crank will be going with it.

Fraid not mate, the engine I had without that I thought was a 1.6 was actually a 1.9 running without one.
