Fuse Problem

Recommended Posts

chalky143

right ive just done an engine change on my 205 gti auto for a manual engine. It starts, everything works apart from the cooling fans. Now ive looked in the fuse box in the engine bay and there is only 1 fuse in it and its a 10amp at the bottom of the box, i have 2 spares at the top. now obviously some are missing right? lol. does anyone know which slot is for the cooling fan? i know its 25amp needed.

thankyou

which fusebox do you mean? there is the main power connection that's commonly called the shunt box bolted to the slam panel, the cooling system plugged in here.

just a thought, as its auto is it a twin fan system? may be some relays in the system at fault, as well as possibly the thermoswitch at fault.

hey, erm it has twin fans, and i have a new thermostat on. Yes i am on about the shunt box bolted to the slam pannel, the one with all the fuses in. Mine only has 1 in and 2 spare at top of box.
