Gti6 First Time Running

Recommended Posts

Evening all. I have just taken my 205 for its very first run with the GTI6 installed. It's great at doing what it should do whilst running, however the idle is quite lumpy, and can sometimes stick for a while at 2000Rpm before dropping back down. Eventually it will sit at 800-900 but not with a great deal of confidence. I am putting this down to a dodgy idle stepper motor at the moment unless anyone has any other suggestions? Secondly it is not great at starting. It tries to catch first time but often doesn't, and then will generally cough into life on the 2nd or 3rd attempt. The battery is rear mounted so I was concerned that the long length of cable to the front maybe limiting it, but it seems to turn over pretty well. The only other thing I can think of is the network of piping for the vacuum pump, and whether this is causing issues, if anyone has any diagrams of this it would be much appreciated!
