Carbed Mi16 Back To Std Induction And Fueling

Recommended Posts

I have an Mi16 on R1 bike carbs and Megajolt and since I live in a country where modifying cars is only limited to tasteless fiberglass bodykits and other blingy crap like that, I can't find anyone who can properly set them up. I had an attempt at setting the engine up myself, but failed since i don't have proper equipment and the necessary experience. Fiddled a bit with the fueling but plugs went from light brow to black and light brown again and I'm totally clueless related to the ignition side of things.

In conclusion, I can't be bothered with this any longer so I'm switching back to std induction and ignition and will be contacting petert for a stage 1 inlet cam, offset key and remap. Thing is I bought the engine with nothing on it, no injectors, loom, ECU, fuel pressure regulator, etc, so I will need to order them from abroad. What I need is a list of everything I need to get it working.

What I need:

-Inlet manifold

-Lamda probe (ditched mine when I changed the exhaust)

-Injectors, fuel rail, fuel pressure reg

-Loom + ECU

-Afm

-Distributor + ign amp. + coil

This is what I can think of off the top of my head. What am I missing to get the thing working as std?

Baz

That list is pretty comprehensive, assuming you'll get an inlet manifold complete with TB, TPS, ICV etc too.

I presume the engine's a Cat equipped variant too? So 3row managment etc...

It's a rally car, engine is a D6C. I'm just interested in the bare minimum so it will run.

I assume the lambda and the gearbox sensor are a must?

I just need a fast-ish reliable car, 160, 170 bhp should be more than enough and I assume I can reach that figure with the petert kit.
