Oil Cooler

Hi all,

 

I've got a standard oil cooler from a 1.9 inc the sandwich plate but I think I'm missing something from it.... It mounts on the mounting point for the fan in the fan cowling doesn't it? Also, is the sandwich plate thermostatically controlled?

 

How does the sandwich plate attach the block? I have a mocal sandwich plate and it has a special fixing with it... Does the Standard one use the threaded bit that the filter screws onto?

The sandwich plate attaches to the block using a threaded adaptor that screws into the block holding the sandwich plate on, then leaving a thread for the filter. The std ones sit in the 2nd fan housing, and they're not thermo controlled no.

Thanks for that, I might just use the Mocal sandwich plate i've got them. I must be missing the Cooler mounting bracket by the looks of things

They do sell Thermo controlled sandwitch plates but its unlikely its one of

those unless you specifically asked Mocal for it..

No it's not a thermo controlled one, but seeing as its does the same job as the Pug one and I have the fixings for it, i'll use that one instead
