I have another 205 gti but im not sure what colour is (the paintcode is missing from the car) its like graphite grey but just a bit lighter.

Anybody have the the paintcode/name for this colour. If it makes a difference the car is a 1990 on a G Plate.

The car on the left is graphite grey, the car with no paintcode is on the right.

Steel grey, probably. Although being a lttle colour blind you may want a second opinion. :)

If it is it'll be Steel/Magnum M0TA/ M1TA/ ETA

Are there different shades of steel grey?

The one in the photo looks nice but I've seen others that look lighter, I guess it could be down to the camera.

It's a metallic colour so can change depending on lighting conditions. I love Steel Grey, but at times it can look really dark and lifeless. But when the sun catches it and it shows a bit more of its silver, it looks lovely.

But it is also possible that there are different shades, as Peugeot did make different shades of the same colour throughout production.

the difference between the two colours looks about the same as my two 'G plates'. Both of mine are graphite, but one is slightly lighter. Maybe one has had a respray in the past.
