I have put a proper gti6 clutch on my engine and am trying to work out how the cable fits. Am I being thick, or does the cable have to go under the gearbox/engine and round to the other side, to pull the arm instead of pushing it?

I can't see how it will work otherwise?

I am using a BE3 cable which I understand to be correct.

There is a black bracket that bolts onto the front of the box that holds the cable then the bush clips in the arm, tho mine is a be1 cable so might be different

I understand that bit and have the bracket on the box - what way is your cable routed?

The cable routes along the subframe at the back then over the gearbox near the battry tray to the front of the car.

Thanks. So what way does your clutch arm move when disengaging the clutch - towards the rad or away?

I'm using a Gti-6 clutch in my 205 8v turbo, the gearbox is a BE3 from a 306 1.8 16v, but im using the BE1 cable, which works fine, I thought you had to use the BE1 cable for this clutch arrangement, but maybe im wrong?

Thanks - I've got it working (BE3) - I was just being thick, as suspected...
