i have to say doing this all alone with no engine hoist has been a right pain in the ass.

engine coming along and feeling very productive lol

slim line fan now fitted back to the rad after a lick of paint to spruce it back up.

will hopefully have it running soon, as im waiting on parts, some new pipes, and an oil temp sensor from a late 205gti to suit the baffled gti6 sump that i fitted to this new engine.

that was a long time ago lol, and yes that was me i sold her to some guy in ireland and have never forgotten her, so purchased this on a whim that it could bring some memories back lol.

the plan is to get it running and looking presentable for a new owner in the not to distant future

little Update:

progress with this has been slow and steady on its maiden voyage from the missus house, bringing it back to mine, car was driving great however the clutch cable snapped so she was on the back of a trailor. after replacing almost every hose, speedo drive cable, throttle cable i questioned my head to why did i not change the clutch cable why i were at it.

so i changed the cable and went to drive the car, to my suprise the car had miraculously developed a fuel leak from the injectors  so instead of replacing the seals on the leaking injector i thought i may aswel do all of them.

only a few electrical problems now to sort like the front indicatos on the passenger side and getting the oil temp to work on the dash.

does anyone know if the signal for the oil temp gauge is sent from the snesor in the sump or one of the sensors in the block?

thanks

tom

Oil temp is from the sensor in the sump.

Don't get your injector seals from Pug. Bloody rip off merchants!
