What Other Pugs Will My 2.0 T Fit?

Recommended Posts

Headling

I know I could be swearing to the 205 fans on here but I have been thinking what other Peugeots could the 2.0 XU10 engine go in?

306 is one I can think of, what about a 106??

I'm thinking about a new project, but still keeping the 205!

Won't fit in a 106 without a bit of work. 406, 405, 506 are the other pug options.

Citroen visa, zx, xsara etc too.

Ah damn! The 106 was the one I quite fancy doing, when you mean a bit of work what are we talking about?

Has any one built a 106 with this engine in??

the engine bay is the wrong shape for an XU engine, not enough space for the XU as it leans back instead of being bolt upright like the TU.

Hi Mark,

I suspect you might upset the handling also of a 106 with the 2.0T iron lump!?

306 would be my bet  funnily having thought about it lots myself (may even be a cab.)

Sam.

Well...it does fit but requires a lot of modification.

Take a look at this 106 with T16 engine installed:

Thanks for the replys guys, shame about the 106 thing! I cant be dealing with all that metal bashing!

Now lets see how much a 306 Rallye is on e bay! I wonder what the weight difference is between a 306 rallye and a 1.9 gti?

Bit easier when it's LHD without a big master cylinder in the way though
