A bit difficult from France! But Anthony fully reconditions beams if you'd be willing to travel or pay for shipping etc.

Any 205 beam tube will do it, do you specifically want it with the bearings already fitted?

And please delete your chassis number.

I'm in the UK at the moment. Who is Anthony? Where would I find him?

Thinking about it, Alastairh has a reconditioned 1.9 GTi beam for sale at the moment, may be of interest to you, he's in the Northants area.

I've had beams from Anthony (South) and Andy (Jord294, North) both very good service.

One man's 'reconditioned' doesn't necessarily mean another's. That's all i have to say.

Good point there, 'Recon' can just mean striped and re-assembled, I tend to replace everything but it does increase the cost allot and when you include wheel bearings etc the cost in parts alone is a good £300.00 ish

And I can testify a Miles rebuilt beam is well worth it!

I have never a problem with anything I've bought from Andy. As described, if not better.

Just thought I'd clear that up as I didn't want any comments to get mis-interpretated.

I must add I have taken a couple of Recon beams apart without even being used and found some horrid thing's, One was from a baned Forum member and the other from a well known Car Sales Garage but I'm not saying any names.

They are so easy to fob people off as with a new Cup seal fitted they look like they have been repaired,

Not saying by any means anyone else supplies bad beam's but just be aware, I would only buy one in parts as you can then see yourself the condition of it

No one in particular! just that you all too often hear and see of beams being bought/sold that are rebuilt/reconditioned etc that are majorly sub-standard.
