I am looking to baffle a tin sump to run on my 16v engine in the road rally car. Looking on service box you can buy a seperate plate with trap door that fits in the XU10j4 without air con. Anyone know if this plate is steel or aluminium, does it fit in an XU9 8v sump with spacer, is the XU10 sump steel or aluminium and how does the plate fit in this sump ?

Also listed is a sump for the XU10j2 without aircon that has the integrated trapdoor baffle, is this sump steel or aluminium and size wise, how does it relate to the XU9 8v sump ie if I get this sump, assuming it is steel and use the spacer will I need to extend the oil pick up ?

PTS baffle, about £100 iirc, sometimes come up second hand, ideal for the 8v tin sump. used to be available on the 205 challenge website, but they no longer have an online shop
