Gearbox Types

I have a gearbox off my 205 with an mi16 engine, how can i tell which one it is, its a be3 gearbox and the ratios point towards either a 1.9 or mi16 box. Are there any identification codes to help me identify which one it is?

Not without whipping off the diff cover and finding the numbers on it, or counting the amount of teeth on the crownwheel.
