BE1 is lift up reverse, looks like the end of the cable is still on the box, I can highlight it for you if you want?

looks like an Mi16 BE1 box, so you need to use a BE3 cable, either cut a slot in your pedal to suit or fit the BE3 pedal, use the lift up reverse cable.

sorry dude i did think it wasa be3, but as youy have a be1 system we should be ok

 

does stevew still go the normal route of mi16 to fit to gti6 engine? :wacko:

yeah, clutch works exactly the same way, as does the release cable.

 

the black plug in the top of the box may well just be a breather as not all BE1 Mi16's used the cable stop.

Easy one this, All 405 Mi16 used the reverse cable on BE1 box's which that picture is, All BX 16v (I'm sure) never had the cable but different linkages instead.

Allot of people get confused with this as the clutch arm is the later pattern as we all know as the BE3.
