Yes, will be more revvy and less good on mpg, but will also be quicker :-)

What year is the XS? It might not have the cutout for the crank sensor that the CJ will require.... Angle grinder time if so!!

'89, but the box isn't original. Bought it from a guy breaking an AX GT (same box).

 

Where is the cutout? I'll have a look.

Front of the box, where you check the ignition timing - Its just larger on the later boxes to make room for the crank sensor.

Depends on what FI system the CJ uses, if it´s the most common one, Bosch monojetronic, it doesn´t use the crank sensor.
