Gear Pivot Ball Joint Upgade

Does anyone know of an upgrade to the gear selection ball joint pivot?

 

It’s the part that bolts through the subframe,

I have had one come loose on my rally car and know of at least 2 other 205 rally car suffer with the same problem so its obviously a common problem

Not sure about an upgrade for the ball pivot but have loctited mine in and it's still not come loose. Have had the split pin come out and the linkage pop off though, which was annoying...I have the R clip wire locked together now and it's been fine since.

all the parts for that pivot are listed on servicebox for a few pounds

You can use a Rose joint, Good mod and again removes some of the play found they, Also a nice new Nyloc nut helps allot

Fitted a new nyloc nut to mine and it's been okay. With a set of Miles' rods it has a nice tight feel. The only thing letting it down is the ropey old gearbox
