Hi,

Following my other post about the boomy exhaust that my car has I am looking to replace it with an OE ECIA backbox.

The codes stamped on my backbox are:

 

CPG 210

496550

S18

BL3

 

Can you tell what make my backbox is based on the codes above?

I don't want to splash money for another backbox if I already have an ECIA one...

The Arvin part number for a late GTi backbox is PG210 / PG210M, which is obviously very close to the part number on yours.

 

If it's an Arvin system, there should be an Arvin logo about an inch or so high stamped on the body of the exhaust somewhere, probably about in the middle of the silencer box.
