Clarion Radio

Right, I have a clarion radio, original tape deck which I have the original pug security card for. Unfortunately I put a wrong digit in when transfering it from one car to another. I left the unit dissconnected all day as well as the batt of the car. It still is showing the code I put in initially. Is there anyway of clearing this, or do I have to take it to someone that specialises in headunit repairs? Any help appreciated

I remember reading something one time about holding in the "band" button to reset the code? Although i'm not sure on this.

Holding down the band button reset it on my 306 when the stereo tripped out

Holding down the band button definitely works on the 205's original Clarion cassette radio. I had to press it many times today trying to go through all codes to find out the right one for mine.

Hi,

I have just fitted a Clarion cassette radio to my C-reg 1.6, the radio came without a code or instruction manual The radio has buttons 1-5, the code generators I found online all used 1-6. I have been trying all the possible codes - now at 4511!

My question is - when the correct code is entered will it automatically switch on the radio? I have been holding down BAND, entering the code, waiting a few seconds to see if the radio comes on then repeating the process. Is this the correct way or have I just wasted 2 hours doing it wrong?

Thanks in advance

Dan

I think from memory yes it turns striaght on, it'll certainly be clear when you've got the code right anyway.
