Lower Engine Mount

Hi guys,

 

The lower engine mount in my 1.6 is totally knackered. I'm assuming these are available from Peugeot? Has anybody bought one recently and what am I looking at price wise? Is it something that can be bought non genuine, i.e, a motor factors?

I've replaced one for a uprated one, harder job getting the old mount out.

Just get a Citroen/Peugeot diesel one. I fitted one to my Mi16 and it works brilliantly. Only costs a few quid new from GSF, just get your local tractor repair shop to press the old and new ones in/out. I wasted a day pressing my old one out, the guys at the local tractor engineering firm took 5 mins with a hydro press to put the new one in

I've fitted an official Peugeot 306 diesel lower mount to my 205, the ECP one in before was way too soft and the engine had a lot of movement

You can hacksaw the old bush out - it takes 5 minutes.

Fitting or pressing the new mount in can be done by taking it to a garage and having it pressed in. Alternatively I got my one in using liberally amounts of grease and gentle persuasion from a mallet.

 

I've got an unwanted brand new genuine pug mount for sale.

I've also got the actual bracket too.
