Refurbish Hydraulic Lifters Mi16

A while back I read an article on how to refurbish the hydraulic lifters, but I can't find it anymore.

I have a spare set on the shelf here, and my current ones are tapping quite loud.

 

Does anyone have that link for me?

If they're tapping loudly it's more likely a mechanical problem that a recon. won't repair. Probably a worn cam lobe.

The cams need to come off anyways, so I'd better check that too then...

 

How can I check that?

Feel/look for flats on the nose of the lobes. Should be a continuous radius.

If the lobes are infact worn, maybe I'll consider buying some regrinded cams...

Its a good guide, I just used to to refurb mine.
