Diff Cwp Bolts

Recommended Posts

axnutty

Just removed the diff from the GTi6 box to instal my Quaiffe LSD. Obviously I need to change the CWP from the LSD (1.6 item) to that from the GTi6.

Thank God for windy guns! Only took seconds!

Anyway, the bolt threads on both items are completley wrecked. Really stretched and Im not going to dare reuse them. Is this normal??!!

Whats the part number for these bolts? Ive been looking here to no avail

Also one of the bearings is wrecked on the LSD unit. Again need part number! How easy or hard a job is swopping them over? Is it ok to just get a chisel behind it and tap it off or are they are feckin tight?

From experance GSF only sell pattern Seals, The N/S one is fine but the O/S one I've had too many leak and hence why I only use OE ones now even thou twice the cost but worth it for less hassle

Its a while since I got some from there tbh but last time I did they were the Corteco (or whatever) ones & are still leak free even after swapping driveshafts a few times.

As Graham says, see the group buy section for a set from me. Haven't had any of mine leak yet across 3 cars, and only had good reports back. Remember they need to be fitted 1mm or so proud of the diff housing as usual though!
