The Gti Keeps Blowing Fuses

My car likes to blow fuses (as do many french cars!) ,Its now taken to blowing the one in the long line of fuses nearest the drivers side and when it does the car wont start ,i can only assume it has something to do with fuel as the car turns over but wont fire until the fuse is replaced

 

What does the fuse control and what could be causing it to blow ?

Fuel Pump, dunno what would be blowing it.

if its the fuse for the fuel pump, number 14 in fuse box i think then possible theres a wiring fault on the wires to the fuel pump possibly shorting out somewhere and causing the fuse to blow!!
