Ma Gearbox 1st/2nd Gear Sychro Hub

Part number question! Is 232364 the correct part number for the 1st 2nd gear synchro hub? Does it include the synchro rings?

I've just bought a 1st/2nd synchro hub from Peugeot. Part no. 232380. It includes synchro rings. Advisable to replace the gear as well,which ever was giving you problems.The synchro isn't cheap,retails at £136.35 !!!

 

Martin has been out this year but complaining of a missfire/hesitation.Got it sorted now so expect to see him flying during the rest of the season.

Thanks Mike. There's a guy flogging them on e bay for £55. Search AX Synchro and they have the different part number but look identical. Might take the gamble as the synchro rings will come in handy and can always use the springs off the new synchro hub even if the rest doesn't fit I've been out doing a two lapper at Teeside, 2nd's still crunching but it survived the day and won the class. Ordered a new 1st and 2nd gear off Quaife £280 Ouch.

Well I've checked with Citroen and 232364 was replaced by 232380 in the year 2000. My synchro hub is original 1989 so i'm hoping it will fit.
