by only locking the pully you also risk the load balancer slipping, causing the timing hole being out of place

can you not get a pick up tool down the back , i know it will stick to the flywheel but surely 20mins faffing about beats a day or two taking the gearbox off. ?

 

i know i'd give it a go.

Id say 2 hours to get the gearbox on and off + 5 minutes with a screwdriver and torch checking nothing is behind the flywheel.

just removed the gearbox, clutch and fly wheel, the bit was stuck in a core plug so wudnt of ever got it out otherwise,, had to call it a day/afternoon though as i feel really faint.. not good :ph34r: maybe i shud get eatin more.

With the flywheel bolts what i tend to do is to clean the threads of with a wire wheel on a bench grinder, brings them up like new, then put loctite on each one before i fit them, then torque them up.

 

I did this on my 1.4 and my 1.9 with no problems at all.

Could somebody get me a part number for the flywheel bolts if possible (and if you know a rough cost) I would be my service box details are on my works computer :ph34r:
