Lost Lower Engine Mount Fork Bolts

Recommended Posts

djinuk

whilst doing my gti6 engine conversion i have lost both my lower engine mount fork bolts. the one that secures it to the subframe, and the one that bolts though the engine mount. Are these bolts going to be high tensile etc? or pretty much run of the mill spec bolts? In other words should i go to peugeot for new ones, or simiply a quick trip to masseys for them :D Thanks in advance.

The one through the lower mount is an oddball as it has a long shank and a short threaded length.

From looking on service box the rear one through the subframe is;

  • 1803.42 capscrew diam 12x175-58
  • 6939.77 self locking nut 12 x 175-15-18.

The one through the lower mounting is;

  • 1803.33 capscrew diam 10x150-72
  • 6935.53 self locking nut diam 10x150-9-17

Graham.

Is it? I'm sure the one in mine is threaded all the way along the shank. Best change that then!
