Leads From Motaquip – Any Good?

Recommended Posts

Rich_p

About to replace my HT leads and not sure what to go for.

I can get 8mm silicon jobbies from ebay for about £30 delivered, I’m not sure these are going to be of much better quality than oe spec ones.

So are the motorquip ones ok, I’m assuming they’ll be better than the standard Halfords ones or should I look at Bosch silicon if Halfords have them?

I know Magnicor (spelling) ones are rated but I don’t want to spend that kind of dollar this time as there are a few bits I need to replace.

Had the same set of Bosch leads on for about 4 years now! I have another set ready to go on but these seem to be lasting for ever, including quite a few dizzy cap and plug changes!

Cheap too if you have a Halfrauds trade card.

I've used motorquip ones in every car I've had so far, (my local motorfactor is a dealer) and I've never had a problem with them, they've always seemed well made! As for longetivity I'm not sure as I've never owned a car long enough to test it properly, after a year they still seem as good as new on the xs though!
