Cti Boot Courtesy Light Wiring

Recommended Posts

Stupid question I know, but my car was fitted with a tow bar at some stage, so the wiring has been messed about a bit, & the yellow wire just ends in the area behind the n/s rear light. According to Haynes it's wire 39 & joins to wire 16A. Said it before...why the stupid number system...the wires are different colours....why no colour coded wiring diagram?!

All I can be sure of is this would be the +ve feed, the other (black) wire runs to earth.

So...can someone kindly look at their CTi (mine's late 1989) & see what this yellow wire connects to, & let me know! Ta

If it stops raining tomorrow I'll have look.

Mine is a Ph1 87E so hopefully the same wiring?

Hi Stu....any luck? On mine there's some black felt stuff glued to the boot interior metal work...it's such crap quality I can't use the word "trim" to describe it. Behind that (N/S) are two holes & the wiring lurks there.

Cheers

Right that was quick job. It connects via a black male/female plug to a blue wire and a thinner red wire (these 2 wires enter the plug together).

Hope this helps - if you need a photo PM me your email address and I'll see what I can do.

Again - really sorry for the delay
