Carbd Mi16 Breathers

I have noticed ive been gettin a bit of water and mayo in my breathers. Ive cleaned them out and there was loads of mayo in them last time, i was worryed it was a headgasket failure but see its a common problem. Im running my breather system the standard way with a little filter i made up as u can see in the picture

 

Im wondering if i should run a catch tank and if it should be sealed or vented. Is it best to just use a coke can/bottle to collect the water/mayo? I dont use the car very often, sometimes not for a couple of weeks. Should all the wire gauze be removed from the filler and left empty. I have already taken the gauze out from the cap.

I use a small pop bottle and site it under the manifold by the starter motor. Does the job for me just fine.

Yes remove all the gauze.
